1. Do your practice tests mimic the actual exam? Are these the exam questions?

No. And they shouldn’t. The real exam questions are proprietary and copyrighted. We don’t have access to them, and we wouldn’t sell them if we did.

What our practice tests do is draw from the same code books and reference material your licensing board uses to write the exam. Our questions cover the same topics, in the same proportions, at the same depth. The format is multiple-choice plus True/False and Yes/No to help you learn, understand, and retain the material.

2. Can I just memorize your practice test and pass the exam?

No, and we discourage trying. Our material is designed to teach you the codes and references, not to be memorized. The exam tests understanding, not recall. A solid grasp of the reference material, paired with your trade experience, is what gets you through. Memorization without comprehension won’t.

3. Can I buy your materials and take the actual exam the same day or within a few days?

We strongly advise against it. Effective studying needs time.

Minimum: about two weeks with the material.
Comprehensive tests: six to eight weeks is more realistic, especially for general contractor scopes or exams that reference large code books.

Proper preparation is the difference between passing on the first try and paying for a retake.

4. How are your practice tests priced?

Our tests are competitively priced for the depth and reference research that goes into building them. Most include more questions than competing products, with comprehensive coverage rather than a thin highlight reel.

A few specifics:

Prices have held steady. Even as costs rise across the industry, we’ve held our pricing.
Study by chapter or section. Large tests are broken into smaller modules, so you can focus on the references that matter for your exam scope.

5. If a practice test has 2,200 questions, is it one long test or broken up?

Broken up. Large reference exams (the International Code series, the National Electrical Code, exams that reference multiple code books) are split into smaller practice tests by chapter, section, or article. Tests are PDF format, so you can search for topics and jump to the section you are studying.

6. Do you have a live chat option, or can I call you directly?

Online contact form only. We respond to messages the same business day in most cases. If your matter is urgent (an exam scheduled in the next few days, an order issue blocking your studying), say so in your message and we will prioritize it.

7. What information do you need when filling out the contact form?

To help you efficiently, please include:

State (and county or parish, if applicable to your license).
Trade name of the exam you are preparing for.
Exam date, if you have one scheduled.

With those details, we can point you to the right practice test or assess whether we can build one for you.

8. Will I be using the practice test online, or downloading it?

Downloading. After purchase:

Your download link is available in your web browser.
A receipt and order confirmation email also includes the download link.
The file is PDF. Open it on computer, tablet, or phone. Print it if you would rather work on paper.
No time limits. Study at your pace; come back to the material as often as you need.

9. I can’t find a practice test for the exam I’m taking. What should I do?

Contact us with the state, county or parish (if applicable), trade name of the exam, and your intended exam date. We can build the test for you. We will confirm the timeline so you can plan your study around it.

10. What is your refund policy?

Digital downloads are non-returnable. Once a practice test PDF reaches your device, we have no way to retrieve it or revoke access.
